Green Hydrogen is touted as the Fuel of the Future. In addition to the principal decarbonization tool, it offers democratization of energy access to anyone and everyone who has access to low-cost RE power and water. The global GH2 market is expected to reach USD ~20 billion by 2030 which is further likely to touch ~USD 400 billion by 2050, clocking a 400x growth over the next 3 decades. With visionary leadership and a stable political environment, India is expected to be a driving force in this sunshine sector. Recently in January 2023, the Government of India (GoI) announced its National Hydrogen Mission to produce 5 MMTPA of GH2 by 2030. Further, GoI also announced a financial outlay of ~USD 2.3 Billion for green hydrogen production and allied market activities. Against this background, GH2 Conclave is getting organized.

Mr. Gadkari is also introducing flex fuel engines to he run on 100% ethanol, and launched a first ever tractor run on bio-CNG, thus providing additional income to farmers and the agricultural sector. He also emphasized on adoption of Green Hydrogen as a clean and indigenous source of energy across various industries and mobility sectors. Recently, Gadkari Ji launched a car in Delhi, on pilot basis that is run purely on hydrogen. He is spearheading efforts for decarbonisation of transportation sector through biofuels, ethanol, EVs.
Hon. Shri Nitin Gadkari is an avid supporter of Renewable energy and Green Hydrogen Initiatives in particular. He strongly believes that, while large scale electrolytic GH2 is a solution for industrial consumers and exports, small scale & decentralised agro-residue (biomass) based GH2 can be a solution for an agrarian economy like India, thereby helping farmers to increase their incomes and championing the transformation to make “Annadata Se Urjadata” through Green Ethanol, Green Hydrogen and Green Ammonia ecosystem.
